Depart Johannesburg and arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, where you’ll be met and transferred to your accommodation, Ilala Lodge Hotel. Ideally located just eight minutes away from the spectacular Victoria Falls, it the closest hotel to the Zimbabwean side of the iconic waterfall, which is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The hotel’s proximity to the Falls affords you unique views of the mist that rises from the mighty waterfall, which is known as Mosi-oa-Tunya – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ – while stylish, well-appointed rooms offer a luxurious stay throughout your three nights at the hotel. Late this afternoon, embark on a relaxing sunset cruise revealing the serene beauty of the Zambezi River. En route to the natural phenomenon, visit the towering Big Tree, a baobab which measures more than 22 metres in width and 24 metres high. Upon entering Victoria Falls National Park, be guided through the rainforest as you learn about the history of the Falls, the area’s fauna and flora, and more. Admire the power and beauty of the Falls, before you soar above the thunderous cascades on your scenic helicopter ride, offering once-in-a-lifetime views.

After breakfast, be transferred to the Zimbabwe-Botswana border town of Kazungula, then set off into Botswana to the magnificent Chobe National Park, where an incredible safari awaits. Delight in a morning cruise along the Chobe River as you marvel at the rich wildlife which flock to the park's rich resources. Lions, hippos, buffalos, giraffes, hyenas, zebras and famously large herds of elephants are just the tip of the iceberg of the unique animals which call Chobe home. Pause at a riverside hotel for lunch before hopping aboard safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive for further opportunities to enjoy the abundance of African wildlife. Later, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

- When visiting Victoria Falls, we recommend that you request a KAZA UNIVISA on arrival. The KAZA UNIVISA can be obtained at your port of entry and can be purchased on arrival. This acts as a multi-entrance visa allowing you to travel between Zambia and Zimbabwe as often as you would like within a 30-day period. The KAZA UNIVISA currently costs US$50 per person (paid in cash), although this can change with little to no warning, so we recommend bringing a few extra dollars. Please note the supply of the KAZA UNIVISA stickers has been erratic of late, so we advise visitors to be prepared to purchase regular visa(s) should the UNIVISA be unavailable.
- Please note: There are new regulations in Kenya and Tanzania that forbid the use of plastic ‘disposable’ carrying bags. It is recommended that all travellers refrain from having ‘disposable’ plastic carrying bags in both their main luggage and hand luggage to prevent any inconvenience
